1. Inherent Risks & Assumption of Risk

I, the undersigned, being of lawful adult age, hereby request and accept permission to enter Sydney’s Cat Lounge, located at 3407 E. 7th Street, Austin, Texas 78702, and to participate in all feline-related activities offered therein. I fully understand and acknowledge that being among cats involves certain inherent risks, including but not limited to scratches, bites, allergic reactions, transmission of disease, or other injuries, whether anticipated or not. I freely and voluntarily assume all such risks, even if they arise in part out of the negligence or fault of Sydney’s Cat Lounge, its staff, agents, volunteers, rescue partners, or affiliates.

2. Release, Discharge & Indemnification

In consideration of being allowed this access and participation, I do hereby waive, release, discharge, and covenant not to sue Sydney’s Cat Lounge and its owners, directors, employees, agents, volunteers, rescue partners, affiliates, and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses of any kind (including attorney’s fees) that I might now or in the future have for personal injury, property damage, illness, emotional distress, or otherwise, whether arising from the negligence of a Released Party or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Moreover, I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, losses, or liabilities arising out of my own actions or breach of this agreement, even if such claims are partially caused by a Released Party’s negligence.

3. Code of Conduct & Health Representations

I agree to comply with all rules, policies, instructions, and guidelines of Sydney’s Cat Lounge, and to conduct myself respectfully toward its cats, staff, and other guests. I understand that failure to comply may result in my removal and that no refunds will be given in such circumstances. I further represent that I have no medical, physical, mental, or allergy condition which would make participation unsafe for myself or others, and I acknowledge that being on the premises may expose me to infectious diseases (including COVID-19), risks which I accept.

4. Medical Emergency Authorization & Severability

Should I require medical or emergency treatment while present, I authorize the staff or agents of Sydney’s Cat Lounge to secure such care at my expense, and I accept responsibility for all associated medical costs. In the event that any provision of this agreement is ruled invalid or unenforceable under Texas law, I agree that the remaining provisions shall remain fully in force, and that the invalid portion may be reformed or severed accordingly. I intend that the releases, indemnities, and obligations herein survive the termination of my participation.

5. Governing Law & Texas Jurisdiction

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute arising from this agreement or my participation shall be brought exclusively in state or federal courts in Travis County, Texas. By signing below, I affirm that I have read this waiver in its entirety, understand its terms and effects, and enter into it voluntarily of my own free will, to be legally bound by it.

I agree that all visitors in my party are at least 6 years old. Any visitors age 6-12 years old will be accompanied by at least (1) adult per (3) children.*

I understand that my reservation is for a specific time slot. If I arrive late, my session will still end at the originally scheduled time in order to accommodate other guests and maintain capacity limits.*

I understand that cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance, including same-day cancellations, are non-refundable. The value of the reservation will be issued as a credit that may be used within one (1) year of the original booking date.*

I understand that while we strive to maintain a 1:1 guest-to-cat ratio, the number of cats in the lounge may vary due to ongoing adoptions and intake from our rescue partners.*
